This is one of several 36x48in. oil commission examples on canvas. This is called the Homecoming. There was only one of the primary family members missing, a son. The young man was a soldier in Germany and there were no good photos of him. Spiritually, I put him in the painting. On the right side of the painting his mother and wife are looking surprised as he comes home.

A family on the dunes.

A family is enjoying a day at the beach building sand castles.

This commission was done for an attorney who was a baseball fan. He wanted all of his childhood idols in a locker-room with him. There was not enough room for everyone on his list, so some names are on the lockers. The attorney is just inside the door with a camera. A canvas print was sent to the Baseball Hall of Fame in thanks for their help with all of the research. We turned down their generous offered to print an edition for us. The commissioner was well pleased.

This commission was done sometime ago for a manufacturing company. The subject was the Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia. You can see the reflections of the welders in the new steel. The shop steward, foreman and engineer are discussing a problem and it's solution.

The sailing ship is safely navigating the troubled waters of the Cape of Good Hope.

A family portrait in the Rockwell style

A family works together around a patchwork quilt. It is country kitchen with three generations sewing their past into a wedding quilt. A place is set with all that you need to join in. The ship Admiral Putnam is taking the immigrants from Ellis Island to Manhattan. The wind blows through their hair as they look ahead to their future. Look carefully and you can see the Statue of Liberty in the reflections of the window.
