Framing Policy

Presently not all of our artworks are sold to you framed. More framing options will become available to you in the near future as we expand and provide more services, but here are some of your framing options.

Our Frames are primarily Renaissance Antique Gold or as close as we can find. Other types of frames may be offered instead, if we find a high quality frame at a good price. These frames must meet our standards of a simple classic and beautiful frame. We pass on any savings to our customers. Sometimes we choose a frame that is not gold as in the choice of the Trendsetter black frame on some of the Art Deco works of art. We use the Lexington black fame for smaller pieces. If you don't care for our choices, we can send the artwork without frame or matt and you can custom frame these works at your favorite framer. Just E-mail your needs to us at:

When a mat is offered it is a beveled edge off-white. This looks good on any wall.

It is so difficult to find interesting mats that exactly match the artworks contained. This is why we took on the challenge of designing extensions around the art that looks like a mat. You can drop it into any antique frame of the same standard size, purchase a frame at your favorite art supply store (I don’t think that you can beat our prices but you can try.). You or your favorite framers have the option to, 1.) Mount the art on top of a mat, cut and add a fillet, 2.) Cut it as a beveled mat and drop the center art behind or, 3.) Leave it as is, because it looks good. There are lots of options, and all are easy. These options are there to give you the best effect, without undue expense. Our prints can be bought without frames, allowing you to bring them to your favorite local frame shop. Just ask!

When a frame size is listed, this is the size of the completed piece. Many of our works include, for the framers convenience, a decorative border that is worked around the piece of art. You may choose to mount the piece of art on board and cut the border into a mat. You may even add fillets to the mat opening, which we recommend on many pieces. When a frame with mat is listed, the artwork is contained within the opening of the mat. A 16x20 frame with mat has an 11x14 mat opening to contain the art.

16x20 frame…..mat opening 11x14in.

11x14 frame…..mat opening 8x10in.

8x10 frame…..mat opening 5x7 in.

5x7 frame…..mat opening 3.5x4.5in.
